GMC Advocate & Solicitor (“GMC”) was established by its founding partners : Mr. Genta Manggano & Ms. Maharsuri Zain. The Purpose of GMC is solely for Client’s interests. Genta Manggano is the Managing Partner of GMC.  He has over 12 years experience and focused his practice in field of commercial litigation; bankruptcy & court supervised debt restructuring (PKPU); Debt and corporate restructuring; civil & criminal litigation, Arbitration & ADR, Capital Market (Included IPO, Bond Issuance, and Sukuk Issuance) and General Corporate.  He is also well experienced in administrative law disputes, employment litigation, Family law and inheritance, commercial transactions (among private & public company) and Intellectual Property litigation.

Genta Manggano is admitted to practice law within Indonesian jurisdictions and also (i) registered in Ministry of Law and Human Right as Certified Administrator and Receiver for Bankruptcy; (ii) registered as Certified Capital Market Attorney (pending admittance) (iii) Registered in Charter Institute of Arbitrator London as Associate member (pending admittance).

Maharsuri has handles broad range of complex cross border commercial transactions and  focusing his practice in field of plantation, mining & forestry project,  shipping, public private partnership, hydropower projects, providing advisory for National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, World Bank for Jakarta Reclamation, maritime and environment litigation, etc.

Her leadership in commercial and energy transactions has brought her reputation known widely among energy companies.

  • Acting as the Receiver/previously Administrator of PT Sarijati Adhitama (In Bankruptcy) with total debt valued more than IDR 100 billion.
  • Represent one of Indonesian Steel Company as the debtor with total debt valued more than 1 trilion before Jakarta Commercial Court.
  • Represent International flight simulator company as unsecured creditors valued more than USD 1 million in court supervised debt restructuring (PKPU) of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk.
  • Represent unsecured creditors valued more than IDR 100.000.000.000,- in complex court driven debt restructuring of Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Indosurya Cipta with total amount of IDR 14 trilion.

Commercial Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution

  • Represent one of multinational Bank as Defendant in tort dispute valued USD 22,877,290.91 before West Jakarta District Court
  • Represent one of domestic company in IDR 70 million contractual dispute before Denpasar District Court
  • Represent one of domestic company as claimant in sale and purchase dispute value USD 3,494,875.00 before Indonesia National Arbitration Board
  • Represent one of domestic company in IDR 441.226.000.000,- shareholder dispute before Central Jakarta District Court
  • Represent one of construction company in USD 2,886,236.28 Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) dispute before Indonesia National Arbitration Board (BANI)

Commercial Transaction

  • Representation of various foreign investment companies in regard to financing and loan restructuring of an iron nickel, coal, company in Indonesia.
  • Representation of Singapore based private equity investment company in conducting legal due diligence and to advise its planned acquisition and restructuring.
